Turiyaskills AI Interview Assessment Guide

The AI Interview feature within the SmartEval section of the Assessments module allows you to conduct automated screenings where an AI Avatar interacts directly with candidates. This tool evaluates not just technical knowledge, but also behavioral traits and communication skills.
Getting Started: Setting Up Your AI Interview
Navigate to Assessments > SmartEval > AI Interview to access the setup page.
1. Define the Role & Scope
To ensure the AI asks relevant questions, you must categorize the position:
- Category & Subcategory: Select the broad industry and specific job function (e.g., Interdisciplinary Roles > Data Administration).
- Specific Role: Choose the exact job title to tailor the question bank.
- Duration & Language: Set the total length of the interview (e.g., 30 minutes) and the language in which it will be conducted.
2. Choose the Interview Type
You can set up three distinct types of interview rounds based on your screening goals:
- Warm Up - Introduction: Focuses on the candidate's basic communication and relevancy to the role.
- Role Related - Technical: Evaluates domain-specific knowledge, technical articulation, and communication capabilities.
- Behavioural - HR: Assesses soft skills including problem-solving, teamwork, and overall communication.
3. Preview Questions
Before finalizing, use the Preview Questions button to review the AI-generated queries (e.g., "How would you explain the term query in a database system?").
How Candidates Experience the Interview
Once invited, candidates enter a dedicated AI Interview page.
- Interaction: The AI Avatar presents the Main Question.
- Recording: Candidates click the Answer button to record their response.
- Controls: Candidates have the option to Repeat Question if they need clarity or Exit Interview if necessary.
Comprehensive Evaluation Criteria
The system automatically scores candidates across four key pillars:
| Evaluation Pillar | What is Analyzed |
|---|---|
| Domain Knowledge | Response Accuracy (relevancy to the question) and Terminology Match Rate (use of industry-standard key terms). |
| Articulation & Problem Solving | Response Structure (logical flow) and the use of Support Examples to back up claims. |
| Teamwork & Leadership | Behavioral positioning, specifically how the candidate functions as a Team Player and their Leadership potential. |
| Communication & Body Language | Voice Pacing, Grammar, and physical cues like Eye Contact maintained with the camera. |
